covid-19 Safety Practices

Umineko Dojo currently has in-person classes for our students. Our students’ and dojo’s health is our top priority.

We have implemented some protocols in order to reduce as much risk as possible while maintaining a safe training environment for everyone.

Students

  • Students who have experienced illness or flu-like symptoms are not allowed to come to class. They are encouraged to see their doctor and attend class once they are free of symptoms.

  • Students are asked to wash or sanitize their hands before and after class.

  • Students who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks.

  • Students are asked to get their gi/uniform pants on prior to coming to class if possible in order to avoid over-crowding the changing room.

  • Students are asked to keep their personal hygiene and wash their uniforms and tabi regularly.

Dojo

  • Floor mats are cleaned and sanitized regularly.

  • Dojo environment, to include stair hand rails, door handles, faucets, door locks, training equipment, bathroom toilet, changing room, etc., are cleaned and sanitized regularly.

  • Pump hand sanitizer bottles have been placed in the front entryway, changing room, dojo waiting area, and bathroom.

  • Free disposable masks are available for students for those who want to wear one.
